Liquid face lift (Non-surgical mini face treatment)
A liquid face lift is a facial injectable that gives you deep tissue regeneration to help reduce the signs of ageing in your face. It is designed to restore a more youthful look naturally and gradually. It is a unique collagen replenishing treatment that helps to slowly and subtly reduce your lines, wrinkles and folds. By helping to replenish your own facial collagen and restore lost volume, the treatment can give you a fuller, more natural look that can last for up to 2 years.
The liquid is a biocompatible and biodegradable injectable material known as poly-L-lactic acid (PLA) that naturally stimulates the skins cells to produce its own collagen.
While traditional dermal fillers only address wrinkles, lines and folds; a liquid face lift works differently in replenishing lost volume by stimulating growth of your own collagen to treat the underlying cause of facial ageing and giving a more youthful look that can last up to years.
The treatment is used to replace lost collagen and to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds.

The liquid face lift procedure at Brighton & Hove Cosmetic Clinic:
Where is the liquid face lift used?
Upper face; it is used to treat temples
Middle part of the face: nasolabial folds (deep lines between the nose and mouth);
tear trough,
cheek augmentation, submalar volumising
Lower part of the face; marionette lines, pre-jowls sulcus, mandibular line
The treatment is not recommended for glabella, front headlines correction and lips. Ask our Doctor what treatment options are right for you.
How many injections are there per treatment session?
The number of injections at each of the treatment sessions will vary depending on the degree of correction and the treatment plan determined by you and our Doctor.
Are the results from a liquid face lift immediate?
No. Because the treatment targets the underlying causes of the signs of ageing, it can give you a noticeable result that emerges subtly and can last more than 2 years*. Some visible improvement can be seen within the first few weeks of treatment, but a liquid face lift is designed to deliver its unique effects, with an average of 2 to 3 sessions, over the course of a few months. Because the production of new collagen formation is a gradual process, each treatment session will yield results that are more noticeable. (* individual results and treatment sessions may vary. Clinical trials ended after 25 months.)
When will I be able to apply makeup after treatment?
If there are no complications, makeup can be applied several hours after treatment. Consult your doctor after treatment.
Is the treatment painful?
With any injection, some pain is possible. Consult our Doctor for professional advice on what you might experience.
What should I do after each treatment?
Proper aftercare is necessary in order to help get the best possible results. Our Doctor will give you specific instructions at each injection session. The following general guidelines will help you get the most from your treatment:
1. Within the first 24 hours of treatment, help reduce swelling by applying a cloth-wrapped ice pack to the area for a few minutes at a time. Avoid applying ice directly to the skin.
2. Post-treatment, massage the treated area for 5 minutes 5 times a day for 5 days or as recommended by your medical aesthetic practitioner. This will help evenly distribute Sculptra
3. Until any initial swelling and redness goes away, avoid excessive sunlight and UV lamp exposure.
When should I see my doctor for my next treatment?
On average, 3 treatment sessions are needed over the course of 4 to 6 weeks minimum but treatment does vary, so talk to our Doctor about the treatment option that's right for you.
What are the possible side effects of the treatment?
A liquid face lift is made of a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid that is absorbed naturally by the body and has been used for years in dissolvable stitches.
Side effects reported include injection site pain and itching, redness, bruising, bleeding, or swelling. Small bumps under the skin that can sometimes be noticeable when pressing on the treated area may also occur. Larger lumps, with or without inflammation, have also been reported. Other side effects may include the delayed development of non-visible, small bumps under the skin sometimes noticeable when pressing on the treated area.
When will I be able to apply make up after the treatment ?
If there are no complications , makeup can be applied several hours after the treatment. Consult your doctor after the treatment.
Who should not have the treatment?
You should not use this treatment if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Nor should it be used when you have an active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area or if you have a history or susceptibility to keloid formation or hypertrophic scarring.
Safety has not been established in patients who are pregnant, lactating, breastfeeding, or under 18 years of age.
